Mid 1960s mark VI tenors have a fantastic reputation and this 1965 example is no exception, it feels compact and tight under the fingers and the tone is full fat with all the trimmings.
The neck is non-original and has a small well made patch on the underside
Although this horn has been de-lacquered at some point by buffing, the American engraving is still visible and the brass has developed a very pleasing patina throughout
This horn has signs of repair and heavy use throughout but has been overhauled and set up fantastically so feels and sounds tip top and mechanically is ready for another lifetime of playing.
