Many people would describe the Yamaha Custom 875 saxophones as being Yamaha's "classical saxophone" design. Made to compete with Selmer Paris saxophones for an orchestral setting.

We think that's a bit of a silly way to look at it. This is a fantastic saxophone with all the precision you would expect from the biggest powerhouse in Japanese musical instrument manufacture, it has oodles of warmth and darkness but still gives all the projection and response needed for any environment.
