WoodWindDesign’s new carbon stand for tenor saxophone (PATENT PENDING) is extremely stable due to the big footprint of the four legs with rubber feet, the shock absorbing design and the specially designed bell holder. This bell holder is a perfect match to the curves of the bell itself, and therefore has a big contact area with the bell. Because this contact area is lined with real rubber (no foamrubber) the grip on the instrument is perfect, as is the protection of your instrument. When you place the instrument a bit awkward in the stand when you have to change instruments very quickly, the instrument will stay in that position and will not slip further or tilt. Compare pictures 5 and 6.

The two lower instrument supports are the endings of the rear legs. Of course these contact points are lined with rubber for extra grip and protection. With the optional adapter (alto adapter for tenor stand, code ada) the stand is also suitable for alto saxophone. This is not a compromise, since the special bell holder with the rubber lining provides excellent grip on the alto’s bell.

Lightweight and telescopic design
The stand can be fully disassembled through the durable friction joints. The five carbon tubes have different diameters and they all fit into one another. Tubes and tube holder can be stored into the tenor’s bell. The bell holder fits over the bell in the case. Because of this feature, you will always have your stand with you, literally without feeling the extra weight, which is only 190 grams / 6.7 oz. Yet another advantage is, that you do not have an extra luggage item, which is excellent when you travel with public transport or with multiple instruments. Also: you do not have to make extra costs at checking in at the airport, because your stand is where the instrument is.

Delivery and Returns

Mainland UK Delivery

- All new Instruments shipped free via courier (usually UPS).
- Royal Mail Tracked 48 standard delivery for reeds and accessories. £3.99 for parcels, £1.99 for large letter/flatpack
- Fast Track delivery available using Royal Mail Special Delivery service.
- Reeds can be flat packed for delivery to fit through your letterbox, if requested, as delivery option. This reduces postage cost to you (£1.99), and also means your delivery should not end up at the Royal Mail depot, or left outside your house.
- For extra large items (instruments & cases larger than tenor sax) please contact us for a bespoke shipping quote, as they may require additional shipping charges on a case by case basis.

UK Returns

- If accessories are unused and unopened or you want to cancel an order you have the standard statutory rights for return of remote sales of 14 days.
- Mouthpieces and Instruments that are opened and trialled at home are given a 7 days approval period and can be returned to us for refund as long as you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Items and packaging must be returned to us in "as new" condition and they remain your responsibility until returned to us. If items or packaging are damaged by you whilst in the 7 day approval period a deduction of at least 10% will be applied to the refund.
- To cover cleaning/sterilising, check over and other costs, Mouthpieces incur a £15 restocking fee and Instruments a £25 restocking fee.
- You can't return used reeds... gross... don't be silly. Unopened/Sealed, and undamaged boxes can be returned as per your statutory rights, however if you choose a flat packed delivery option then the boxes are opened and may not be returned.

International Delivery and Returns

- Once posted, International shipments may not be returned unless there is a manufacturer fault with the product.
- The website calculates international shipping rates. In some circumstances, the calculated shipping may be insufficient and you could be required to pay additional international shipping, or given the option to cancel an order if you wish.
- We are required to pre-pay import taxes and customs duties to some EU and international destinations. If this is required for your destination country we will contact you with a bill which you can pay, or you may cancel the order if you wish.
